Helping Your Kids Love Reading…by Cooking?!
Reading is often referred to as an adventure to another time or place, but is it also a taste sensation? Last week, the Meal Makeover Moms about a former kindergarten teacher (and mom of five!) who is blending a dose of humor with hands-on cooking to get kids excited about reading.
As an example, the group read a story about a baby mouse falling asleep in a head of lettuce that a farmer was about to pick. This segued into a chat about fun ways to eat vegetables and then transitioned into the tasty, fun project of making homemade zucchini bread!
